Contact cebu.tips

Use this page when you’ve got something specific to tell us — a correction, a missing-coverage tip, a broken link, a collaboration pitch. Below is an honest map of what we can usefully help with and what we can’t, so you know whether to write in or whether you’ll be quicker going somewhere else.

Before you write — your answer might already be on the site

The most common reader questions already have full answers in the guides:

  • How do I get to Cebu, and around the province once I’m there? Start with the Cebu transportation hub. For specific routes, the bus routes guide and the operator profiles (FastCat, OceanJet, SuperCat, Ceres, Cebu Pacific, PAL) cover the detail.
  • Where should I stay? The hotels hub and the where to stay in Cebu City neighbourhood guide break it down by area, budget, and trip type.
  • What tours are worth booking? The tours hub and the best Cebu tours and activities listicle rank the proven products by category.
  • When should I visit? The Cebu travel guide covers the seasonal picture; the monthly guides under /essentials/when-to-visit/ go month-by-month.
  • What’s my booking problem? If you booked through Klook, GetYourGuide, Viator, Booking.com, Agoda, 12Go, or any partner platform, contact them directly — those bookings are between you and the platform, and we’re not a party to the transaction. If the issue is with the link itself (wrong destination URL, broken redirect), then yes, we want to know.

What we’re useful for

Content corrections and updates. Found a ferry schedule that’s changed, a hotel that’s closed, a tour operator that’s pulled out of a platform? Send the page URL and the specific section. We update when corrections are verified. The site is new and pages are being built actively, so corrections land quickly.

Missing-coverage tips. A destination, route, or activity inside Cebu Province that we haven’t covered yet. We can’t promise we’ll write up everything, but reader tips directly influence the publishing queue.

Broken links and technical issues. Affiliate links that aren’t working, internal links that 404, image issues, pages that look broken on a specific device. Include the page URL and the device or browser if relevant.

Collaboration. Travel writers, photographers, content creators, regional tourism offices, operators with a genuinely interesting product. Introduce yourself and what you’re proposing. We’re selective — partnerships that don’t fit the editorial line of the site don’t go ahead — but the door’s open for the right ones.

General feedback. Something confused you. Something was more useful than expected. Something read wrong. The site is being built deliberately and feedback shapes it.

What we can’t help with

Booking disputes. If a tour didn’t run, a hotel charged you incorrectly, a ferry was cancelled — contact the platform you booked through (Klook, GetYourGuide, Viator, Booking.com, Agoda, 12Go) or the operator directly. We don’t have access to your reservation, we don’t hold your payment, and we can’t issue refunds for transactions we weren’t part of.

Custom itinerary planning. Cebu.tips is a publishing site, not a personal travel-consultant service. The destination hubs, the tour pages, and the cross-province travel guide are designed to be self-service. We don’t build one-off itineraries on request.

Complaints against operators. If a tour operator behaved badly, the right channels are the booking platform’s review system, the platform’s complaints process, and (for serious issues) the Department of Tourism’s accreditation office or the relevant local government unit. We don’t operate a complaints database and aren’t in a position to mediate.

Visa, immigration, and customs. Check the Bureau of Immigration and the Philippine embassy or consulate in your country. Requirements change, and we’re not qualified to give immigration advice.

Live availability and prices. We publish guides, not live booking inventory. For current prices and availability, use the booking platforms directly. Prices on our pages are confirmed at time of writing and will drift.

Response times and how to reach us

Email: hello@cebu.tips (placeholder — site owner to confirm final address before launch).

We aim to reply within 2–3 business days. Sometimes faster. Sometimes a day or two longer if travel or other commitments get in the way. We’re a small operation, not a 24/7 support desk. Pasensya na if it takes a beat.

For privacy or legal matters specifically (data requests, takedown notices), the privacy policy and terms of use have the relevant detail, and the same email address handles them — just put “Privacy” or “Legal” in the subject line so it routes properly.

What to include for a faster reply

  • Content correction? The page URL, the specific section, and what’s changed.
  • Missing coverage? What you’d like covered and (if you’ve already been) any specifics that would be useful in the eventual guide.
  • Collaboration? A short intro and what you’re proposing. Links to your work help.
  • Broken link? Where you clicked from, where it took you, what device or browser you were on.

Salamat for reading this far. Whatever brings you to Cebu, the guides are here to get you there well-prepared.
