Site Updates
This page is the running log of significant content updates on cebu.tips. The site is new and being built deliberately — entries here track which guides have been published, which have been substantially revised, and which policy or structural changes affect how the site works.
What lands on this page:
- New destination, tour, hotel, and transportation guides as they go live.
- Substantial updates to existing guides — a route that’s been retired and replaced, a hotel that’s closed, a major schedule shift that requires rewriting a section, a tour operator that’s left a booking platform.
- Policy and structural changes — updates to the privacy policy, terms of use, affiliate disclosures, or site-wide editorial conventions.
What doesn’t:
- Minor typo fixes, image swaps, internal link tweaks, and routine SEO maintenance. The site is updated continuously at that level; logging each change would bury the meaningful ones.
If you’re planning a trip and don’t know where to start, this isn’t the right page for that. Begin with one of the main navigation hubs — Tours, Hotels, Transportation, Destinations, Things to Do, or Essentials — or the Cebu travel guide as a single starting overview. Come back to this page once you know the site, to catch what’s new.

v1.0 — Site launch (placeholder)
Date: TBD — to be updated when the site goes live.
Initial publication of cebu.tips. Launch content covers:
- The four pillar hubs: Tours, Hotels, Transportation, Destinations, plus Things to Do and Essentials.
- Destination hubs for Cebu City, Mactan, Moalboal, Oslob, Bantayan, Malapascua, and the 44-municipality provincial directory.
- Tour booking pages for the proven Cebu products: Oslob whale shark snorkels (and combo variants), Moalboal sardine run, Pescador Island, Kawasan canyoneering, Bohol day trips from Cebu, Malapascua thresher dives, top private tours, top food tours.
- Hotel comparison guides: best Cebu beachfront resorts, 49 best hotels, where to stay in Cebu City (by neighbourhood), the hotel-selection orientation guide.
- Transportation operator profiles for the major ferries (OceanJet, SuperCat, FastCat, 2GO, Lite Shipping, Clemer, Sunriser, Apekop), the major flights (Cebu Pacific, PAL), and the major bus operator (Ceres). Editorial guides for the transportation hub, the bus routes, and rent-a-car.
- Functional pages: about, contact, privacy policy, terms of use, and this updates page.
The site is launching as a focused, Cebu-specific resource. Coverage expansion priorities are: monthly seasonal guides (12 “when to visit in [month]” pages), additional individual hotel BOFU pages, additional tour-product pages for the long tail beyond the headline products, and Camotes Islands depth coverage.
This change log will be updated each time a material change ships. Entries are listed newest first once there’s more than one.
